Deer Contest Rules
Please verify that all spelling and information submitted is accurate.
All bucks are required to include measurement photos as outlined in the rules. Video submissions do not count.
Administrators reserve the right to request additional photos for verification purposes.
Teams consist of 3 hunters. Hunters may only compete on one team.
Sign-ups close August 31, 2026. Hunters must register before hunting.
Contest Dates: August 1, 2026 – February 20, 2027.
After the Shot
Hunters have 48 hours to recover their deer after the shot.
Entries must be submitted within 10 days of recovery.
Submission Photo Requirements
One photo of the intact deer and bow.
No head/rack-only photos.
No caped-out deer.
No skinned carcasses.
One photo of the completed scoresheet.
Weapon Requirements
Vertical bows only.
Crossbows are not permitted.
Fair Chase Requirements
Fair chase only.
No high-fence hunts.
No pen-raised deer.
Moderators reserve the right to decline any buck if the fair chase rule has been violated.
Eligible Species
Whitetail
Mule Deer
Blacktail
Coues Deer
Mule Deer qualify for King of Tines and Top Buck Per State individual standings.
A separate Mule Deer Team Scoreboard is maintained.
There are no score adjustments for different deer species.
Deer Entries
Enter every bow-killed deer you harvest.
Unlimited upgrades are allowed for your top buck and individual awards.
Your top five bucks count toward the King of Tines standings.
Only one (1) King of Tines entry may be taken on an outfitted hunt.

Each qualifying participant will have 30 days from notification to have their buck officially measured by an approved scorer.
Important
Failure to follow any contest rule or submission requirement will result in immediate disqualification.
