Why was League + created?

There is an incredible need for Deer Camp. A Deer Camp is where Deer Hunters congregate after the evening hunt and tell stories about their day. It’s a place where the primary entertainment is a campfire. The location, food, and lodging vary from camp to camp but the memories last forever.

Even with the extensive network of the Bowhunting League (BHL) it took me 5 years to trade a hunt. Since then, I have fulfilled my dreams of traveling to multiple states each year using the “Gas & Tags” method. “Gas & Tags” means I crash on friend’s couches, split lodging costs, and share Deer Camp with other BHL members.

Annually, I see hundreds of BHL members use the networks they’ve built to travel state to state and hunt different areas. My goal is to speed up the networking process for Bowhunters that want to share Deer Camp in New States and to help them form “Dirt Cheap” Deer Camp opportunities.

Who can be a Deer Camp Host? (Answer “Yes” to this question on the form)

1) Anyone that own’s a Cabin, Airbnb, or Camper etc.

2) Anyone that knows where they want to Deer Camp this Fall and will find lodging.

3) Answer “Maybe” on the form if you are interested in hearing more about hosting.

What League + does NOT offer:
1) This is not an Outfitter Service or a Network for Outfitter’s to advertise hunts.

2) This does not replace any of the 100% Free Contests (Deer/Turkey/Elk). Those contests will always be FREE to join.

3) League + does not collect any funds for Deer Camps. Deer Camp Host discuss the Costs associated with the Deer Camp. I attend the initial planning meetings to help provide insight on hosting Deer Camps.

4) Hosts are not compensated by, League +, for holding camps. Cost sharing amongst Deer Campers is encouraged and discussed in the initial planning meetings.
