October 2025 Archery Only Big Buck Contest

Rules and Guidelines:

Sign-up Deadline: 9/30/25 11:59PM

Cost: $100

Fair Chase and Free Range deer only. No high fence preserve or pen raised deer are allowed for entry. Please send any questions regarding the Fair Chase/Free Range rule to ben@bowhuntingleague.com prior to hunting.

Weapons Allowed: All Archery equipment permitted by Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation see the link for details (Big Game Regulations | Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation)

All entered bucks are required to be shot between 10/1/25 - 10/31/25.

Hunters have 24 hours to recover their buck after the shot. Recoveries over 24 hours after the shot are not permitted for entry. Bucks shot on the last day 10/31/25 are permitted to be recovered on 11/1/25 within 24 hours of the shot.

All Buck entries shall be submitted within 5 days of recovery via the submission form located at BowhuntingLeague.com/Okieland

Submission requirements:

Name, email, and phone number of Hunter.

Date Buck was shot.

Date Buck was recovered.

(1) Photo of Intact Deer & Bow (No head/rack only photos, no caped out deer photos, no skinned carcass photos)

When feasible please bring you deer or rack by the shop. We love hearing the stories of your hunt.

An official scoring event at Okie-land Bowhunters will confirm the buck with the highest gross score for the October Contest. All hunters wishing to be eligible for the highest gross score will need to have their buck’s antlers at the event. The scoring event will be scheduled at a later time. All communications about the event will be sent via email and posted on social media.

Prize: 100% of the “Jackpot” Okie-land Bowhunter Gift Card is awarded to the highest gross scoring buck for the October Contest (see rule #9 above). The “Jackpot” is determined on how many entries are received. Every entry for October adds $100 to the “Jackpot”. Updates are posted on Okie-land Bowhunters social media.
